Sentimental Value is a Side Quest in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.

Objectives

Fight the bandits.

Talk to Maya.

Search for the music box.

Slay the infected that swallowed the music box.

Look for the music box in the Infected's body.

Walkthrough

In southwestern Horseshoe, just northwest of the Horseshoe Water Tower, Maya can be found on a roof, hiding behind a small wall. She says she is hiding from the infected, but is looking for bandits who stole stuff from her. Before she can go into detail, three bandits show up. Defeat the bandits and return to Maya.

Maya will be grateful, but upon asking her further about her items, she will say that there were more bandits around the first time who probably have her things. The most important of which is her music box, which she promises to give as a reward for helping her. She directs Aiden to a building overlooking a construction site, where the bandits are supposed to be. She explains that they won't be there during the day so asks Aiden to go at night.

The bandit camp is a Dark Hollow in the northeastern part of Quarry End. Inside, the music from the music box is coming from a Goon. Slay the goon and retrieve the music box to complete the quest.

Trivia

• While not stated as a quest reward in the journal, the Music Box is technically a reward for completing the quest.
• After completing the quest, Maya can be found next to the trader in The Bazaar. The music box can be given back to Maya, who will thank Aiden for giving it back.
• Despite the Dark Hollow being described as a bandit hideout, it is filled with infected.
