The Ties That Bind

The Ties That Bind is a side quest available in Dying Light: The Following.

Objectives

Ask Jasir what happened

Look for Ezgi on Ozan's farm

Search for Ezgi at the campsite

Check to see if the tunnel is safe

Walkthrough

Jasir will contact Crane while in the Countryside. Go to Jasir at his farm and speak to him. He is distressed about Ezgi, who went missing. He suspects she went to a farm not too far away, so head there. The farm is to the northeast of Jasir's.

At the farm, it quickly becomes clear that the place has been overrun by the infected, but Ezgi is nowhere to be seen. A letter from Ezgi is located under the body of Ozan, however, which reads as follows:

"Thank you, Ozan. Thank you for letting us stay here so long. But it's time for us to go. We've already packed and I think we have everything we need. :]

We'll leave from the campsite on the shroe and head to Harran. I'll try to give you a sign somehow. Thanks for everything.

Ezgi"

After reading the note, Crane will contact Jasir. After speaking to him, head to the campsite mentioned in the letter, it is located in the far northeastern part of the map, south of the highway. The campsite is, similar to the farm, also overrun. A Demolisher, Toad, Viral and some biters have made the place home. Dispatch them and check the trailers for Ezgi.

The task to return Ezgi is quickly rendered moot when Ezgi is found alongside Dara, both of which wish to escape to Harran. Ezgi asks for the favor Crane gave her. She wants to escape via a tunnel, so go there and make sure it is safe. The tunnel is located to the northwest of the campsite and is a Volatile Nest.

Enter the tunnel and use a side passage to get past the rubble. On the other side are several biters. Dispatch them and use an even further side passage to enter the hive itself. Be mindful that there will be several Volatiles here, as expected. Dispatch the two volatile nests themselves and kill any remaining infected to clear the tunnel and have it be safe. Crane will then contact Ezgi to finish the quest.
