"Evade a pursuit level of 2 or higher." - Achievement/Trophy Description

Prom night is an achievement/trophy available for Dying Light.

Overview

Prom Night as stated is an achievement/trophy which can be obtained by evading a pursuit (during the Night) providing that the pursuit level is 2 or higher. This is shown by the amount of pulsing pursuit indicators next to the ingame HUD's minimap (red for when actively pursued and white for when the infected are searching for the player after losing line of sight with them).

For some players, this achievement is achieved just after evading their very first pursuit during the mission Airdrop - Sometimes players might evade the very first pursuit either quickly (before the pursuit gets to level 2) and then manage to get back to the Tower without being pursued, which means in order to get this achievement/trophy they must go out at night again and be pursued to level 2 or higher before evading the pursuit.

As a whole, this is a common trophy for players to unlock especially if not employing stealth tactics at night outside of Safe Zones or if deliberately getting pursued - After two-three minutes, the pursuit should go to level 2 or higher. On higher difficulties, the pursuit level will increase more also - Do take note however that evading the pursuit will be more difficult/strenuous at higher levels (unless entering a safe zone).

Upon evading the pursuit of level 2 or higher (whether outside a safe zone or not), the player will be awarded the achievement/trophy.

Tips/Points/Additional Information

  • To easily increase the pursuit level from 1 to 2, make use of tight turns and varying heights in terrain/buildings - the Volatiles and Night Walkers cannot navigate these as well as you can.
  • Don't be reckless i.e. going too far from safe zones - Pursuits are a lot harder to evade when on higher levels unless going straight into a safe zone.
  • You can earn this trophy by being pursued at level 2 or higher and evading it by the time ingame going to 06:00 (when sunrise happens) as this causes the night infected to stop pursuing anything and cower/be blinded (Night Walkers) or terrified and run off (Volatiles).
  • If invaded by the Night Hunter, this trophy cannot be earned via running away from the Hunter as the only main enemy (bar the infected that come about from the horde spit) being the Night Hunter doesn't effectively engage the pursuit game event that the Night Walkers and Volatiles can do.
  • Albeit this is probably unlikely, players can earn this trophy by evading the chase in the tunnel under Rais's compound during Extraction - This is because the pursuit instantly goes from level 1 to level 4 (the highest level) and only ends when the player leaves the tunnel.
