Doctor's Note 3

Doctor's Note #3 is a collectable titled note that can be found in Dying Light: The Following.

Location

The note is located in on a desk in the military research truck at Military Outpost Eight. The truck can be accessed by obtaining the Military Transporation Keycard from the biohazard crate in the warehouse at the granary containing the Behemoth Freak of Nature.

The biggest mystery, however, is the Volatile, which developed a specific kind of photophobia. It seems as though they are the pinnacle of the virus's evolution, but we can't really discern why the virus would be interested in keeping itself out of the daylight. Maybe the sun itself, our greatest ally, holds an answer to this question?

What interests me the most about Volatiles, however, are their hives. I admit this is a far-fetched theory, yet I ask you to keep your mind open to this possibility – it seems that their kind developed a way to spread the disease which isn't dependent on human bites and the exchange of saliva. By observing a hive, unfortunately in a rushed manner and under conditions not particularly suited to scholarly standards of inspection, I came up with a theory that Volatiles are breeding – creating more of themselves, instead of infecting at random.

If that's correct to any extent, it would mean that we're close to seeing a certain kind of sentient thought involving the way the virus works and develops. If it indeed does allow its bearers to create an aristocracy of sorts, we might be faced with an enemy which isn't just interested in survival... it may soon be focused on conquest.
