Close to nothing is known after France after the Fall. When speaking with Demoulin, Aiden is asked if he has heard any news about Marseille, Demoulin's home town. Aiden replies saying that he has never heard of the place. This could suggest that it has been destroyed or overrun with infected, that information in the outside world is simply too scarce or that Aiden is from a location far to the east.

Questgiver Gabrielle in Old Villedor mentions that Bordeaux was "lost to the virus".

In the intro of Dying Light 2, we see a scene showing the chaos of the Fall. A road sign appears in French, and when the camera zooms out, it appears to have come from Paris, or another city in Northern France.
