"After visiting space and dangerous Carnival this famous gardening gnome is now ready to help in fight with zombies on the dangerous streets of Harran"
In-game description

Gnome Chompski is a weapon modification that appears in Dying Light. Its blueprint can be acquired at the start of the game through the L4D2 Bill and Gnome Chompski pack free DLC pack. It applies no elemental effect but can increase the damage dealt by a weapon up to a certain limit. It also turns the base weapon into a two handed weapon.

Overview

A very novel weapon mod, turning the base weapon into a gnome! Now you too can tell your friends they got gnomed when you hit them with this! Quite literally it does what it says on the tin which is turn the base weapon into a garden gnome that you swing about like a madman. The gnome is nicely well modelled, if a little creepy to have a smiling happy gnome face staring at you, especially when the weapon is covered in blood from use! As for what it does, it's not actually that great. First of all, it applies no elemental effect, so no fire, poison, shock or even bleed effect. Secondly, the damage is barely boosted, only green rarity or below weapons will get a damage benefit. Thirdly, the weapon becomes a two handed weapon, which means the attack speed is greatly reduced, which would be good for dealing with Biters if not for the final point. That final point is that the attack range is incredibly short. Who'd have thought that a garden gnome does not have the effective range of a machete or katana? Yes, the gnome requires you to literally be nearly touching the zombie for it to connect, leaving you vulnerable to either being hit or grabbed during the slow attack speed. The only good thing about this mod is that it can be applied to any melee weapon, whether they are sharp or blunt, one or two handed. Overall, the only reason to apply this mod is for the novelty of it, as there are far better mods that can be applied that have both better effects and range than the gnome.
