Herbs are a crafting item in Dying Light. They are used for various toxic weapon modifications and ironically, medkits.

Utility

These following utilities require herbs to craft

Blueprint Requirements Effects/Usage
Cloak potion Used to blend in amongst hordes of infected without being detected.
Freezing shield

Used to block incoming damage (biters, gunshots, etc.). This variant freezes the target if blocked at the right time.

Note: Requires a shield to craft.

Natural medkit Alternative way to make medkits.
Night vision booster Increases night vision for a short time.
Resistance booster Increases resistance to damage for a short time.
Speed booster Increases speed for a short time.
Stamina booster Increases stamina for a short time.

Other blueprints which require herbs to craft

Blueprint Requirements Effects/Usage
Origami 101 Creates an explosive paper airplane.
Right ball of gloVA Throws a ball of lightning that explodes after a short duration. Does a lot of damage.
Toxic bolt Alternate ammunition for the Compound Crossbow / Upgraded Crossbow. This variant causes nearby infected to fall over.
