Incendiary Arrows are special types of ammunition for the Bow. They're unlocked in The Bozak Horde DLC and have the ability of burning anything they hit. They can sometimes be bought from Stores.
Overview
Due to the potential damage over time ability this ammunition may have, it is suggested to use this item on enemies with lots of health. There are many applicable uses this type of ammunition may have. For starters, it can be used to light oil spills without attracting Virals. As it is fired from a bow, the player does not need to worry about being set alight as long as they stay a good distance away. This benefit does not extend to explosive barrels as they will still make noise upon exploding.
A trick to kill Goons using the Bow is to first throw Flammable Liquid at it, before hitting it with an incendiary arrow. While the Goon is burning, continuously pelt it with regular arrows until it stops burning where the first step can be repeated. Do not use this arrow on Biters as they may turn into an elemental infected.
However, almost all uses this weapon has can be replicated with the Molotov with the only benefit being the damage dealt immediately upon hit and the number of arrows crafted at once. As such, this weapon is mostly useful when the player only wants to take out a specific infected in the swarm and does not want to risk turning any nearby Biters into elemental infected.
