In Slavic legends, this sinister demon lives in water reservoirs. She was said to be the corrupted soul of a young girl who drowned herself out of despair or grief. Other versions say that she had been murdered.
Topielica appears as a young girl with long, fair hair. She is said to lure young men with crying out for help or singing... and then drowning them when they are in her grasp.

What might be hiding beneath the surface of the water in the city? Some other evil?
