Survivor's Note 1

Survivor's Note #1 is a collectable titled note that can be found in Dying Light: The Following.

Location

The note is located in the town south of Bilal's Tar & Dust Workshop. Along the northwest potion of the town are three connected houses, the note is located in the central one. It is located on a small table near a doorway leading to the roof.

I love my Grandma's dog. He was a German Shepherd, and she got him after she had a stroke. She couldn't move too good after that, so she got Chief, because Chief had been trained all special to help her do stuff. And when he wasn't helping her, he'd play with me, and he was super-smart! When I only acted like I was gonna throw the ball, he could tell, and he'd wait for me to really throw it. So I was here with my Grandma and Chief, and the biters showed up, and Grandma said we had to go down into the basement. So we all went down there, and she locked the door, and they couldn't get in... but then they just never left. We heard them, all day, all night, shuffling around upstairs and groaning and we could smell them, too. And there wasn't much food in the basement, and we couldn't get out. And we got weaker and weaker. 'Cause of there not being any food. And Grandma hugged me, and said she was really sorry, but she knew we were all going to die down here.

That's when Chief pushed the knife over next to her. And curled up at her feet. He was supposed to help her, y'know? And we... well, we had a little stove down there, and some kindling and some matches.

Grandma and I are still here now. And we're not as hungry. But the biters are still upstairs.

Last night she started sharpening the knife again...
