"Come to Harran" he said. "It'll be great" he said. "We'll have the greatest honeymoon anyone's ever had" he said. My parents didn't want me to go, my boss didn't want to give me the time off, I had to get my neighbor who I don't even really like to agree to watch my cats, but dammit, I was determined. I loved Malcolm, and I was thrilled he asked me to be his wife, and we were going to Harran!

Except we never made it there. Malcolm wanted to take the scenic route, drive through the country, take in the sights. So when everything went to hell, we got stuck in fucking Farmland Central.

At first it wasn't so bad. A lot of people died really quickly, so we were able to find an unoccupied place to hide out, and there was a cellar with plenty of food. We figured we'd just wait it all out. Until the bandits came, and the biters came after them.

So there we were, holed up in a farmhouse with a goddamn war going on outside, and what does Malcolm do? He says, "I'm sorry, Christine, but I'll last twice as long if I don't have you to feed and look out for." And he tries to SHOVE ME OUT THE DOOR. Out into the teeth-and-guns free-for-all.

You think you know somebody...

Anyway. I didn't spend all those years taking Krav Maga for nothing. Now I'm still safe, and Malcolm's getting gnawed on pretty good out there.

I just hope my cats are okay...
