The Reddest Red is a Side Quest in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.
Objectives
- Kill the Goon mentioned by Andy.
- Collect the Goon's blood.
- I got the Goon's blood. Now I had to return to Andy.
- Bring the blood to Andy.
- I gave Andy the Goon's blood. He said that if I returned later, perhaps his great work would be ready to be admired.
Walkthrough
While in southeastern New Dawn Park an artist named Andy can be found in a rooftop artist workshop. He will mention working on his "magnum opus" but that he lacks the proper shade of red to finish it. He has an idea where the color may be obtained, Aiden offers to help. Andy tells Aiden that he needs the blood of the infected, a Goon to be precise. Andy providing wine for one goon in particular, and asks Aiden to kill it to retrieve its blood for the shade of red.
Find the goon, which is located not too far from the rooftop settlement. Kill it and search its corpse before returning to Andy.
Andy will be grateful for Aiden's aid, and reward him. In doing so, completing the quest.
Trivia
- Andy is heavily modeled after the artist Andy Warhol in name, appearance, occupation, and even mentioning having a brother named John like the real life Warhol. After repeated visits to his shack after the completion of his quest, the "masterpiece" he was working on is ultimately revealed to be a painting of a soup can.
