Events in Dying Light 2 Stay Human

Events are a type of post launch content in Dying Light 2 Stay Human, they usually last at least a week and add changes to the gameplay that can make the game goofier or more challenging. They are connected to TechlandGG and it is required to claim some rewards, which range from skins to weapons to chapter tokens.

The series of Booster Events events were added with Update 1.3.0, it had 5 weekends of modified gameplay.

Along with the first Chapter Agent, there were many events that would reward players with Harper´s Tokens and other goodies.

Launch Event

There are no modifiers, but instead 3 goals

• Community Goal: Gather 80000000 Mutation Samples to get 3 Harper´s Tokens
• Participation Goal: Gather at least 1 mutation sample to get 1 Harper´s Token
• Personal Goal: Gather 5000 muation samples to get 1 Harper´s Token

Bloody Summer

Decapitation and servering of limbs is a lot more common, and once again there are 3 goals

• Community Goal: Dismember 3000000 limbs to get The Nightrunner Gear set
• Participation Goal: Dismember at least 1 limb to get 1 Harper´s Token
• Personal Goal: Dismember 300 limbs to get Cutting Edge Axe

Long Night

A Huntress and a Hag Chapter

Like the last Chapter, many events were added during this Chapter, only these have more rewards and give Hunter Tokens instead of Harper. This also introduces Overkill goals, when the community reaches a goal they can earn additional tokens through completing smaller goals.

Launch Event

Track as many hag tracks as possible, there are 3 goals

• Global Goal: Inspect 7000000 Hag Tracks to get 3 Hunter Tokens
• Participation Goal: Inspect at least 1 Hag Track to get a Mutation Samples pack
• Personal Goal: Inspect 25 Hag Tracks to get 1 Hunter Token

Rampage Event

Increased chance to dismember enemies with amped up ragdolls, this is the first time overkill was unlocked, there are 5 goals

• Global Goal: Kill 120000000 enemies to recieve the Smog Mask
• Warmup Global Goal: Kill 60000000 enemies to recieve a token
• Participation Goal: Kill at least 1 enemy to get a Hunter Token
• Personal Goal: Kill 1000 enemies to unlock the Mech Slugger
• OVERKILL Goal: Kill 50000000 enemies to earn 1 Hunters Token

All Hallows´ Eve

This event is a lot larger than the others and has more meaningful changes

• New Crafting Part: Treats, dropped by every infected
• Pumpkintiles replace Volatiles, Pumpkintile Tyrants replace Tyrants
• Baka the Unfortunate appears at the Bazaar, he offers bounties
• Baka also sells items, similar to Agents as you need to rank up to access better items
• 2 Mask packs, 1 gives Unique Rarity Masks with small chance to get Artifact, and the other has a higher chance

There are also Trick or Treat potion packs, these give insane effects for a limited time

• Trick or Treat 1: Better Night Vision
• Trick or Treat 2: Faster zipline
• Trick or Treat 3: Higher jumps
• Trick or Treat 4: Deal more damage
• Trick or Treat 5: Run faster

Lastly, the Dying Laugh bundle was released on November 3rd and was free for a week, it contained the following 3 items

• Dying Laugh Outfit
• Dying Laugh Bat
• Dying Laugh Paraglider

there are also 3 community goals

• Global Goal: Collect 150000000 Treats to get the Dying Laugh Charm
• Personal Goal: Collect 6000 Treats to get the Jack O´ Mask
• Participation Goal: Collect at least 1 Treat to get Trick or Treat Potion Pack

Hunting Sergeant Ryan

Chapter 2 missions now have Peacekeeper biters, and at the end you face off against a Peacekeeper Demolisher, this event was quite controversial due to a bug on TechlandGG adding points to the global goal.

• Global Goal: Kill Sergeant Ryan 2000000 times to get 3 Tokens and Avocado Charm
• Participation Goal: Kill Sergeant Ryan at least 1 time to get a Hunter Token
• Personal Goal: Kill Sergeant Ryan 3 times to get RebarBar

Winter Tales

12/22/2022-01/05/2023

This event, like the All Hallows Eve event, features the return of Baka the Unfortunate and festive themed enemies

• New Crafting Part: Christmas Sweets which are dropped by all infected
• New Valuable: Presents, which give random items including high end weapons
• Naughty Bolters replace Bolters, they now drop Stolen Presents
• Uncle Snows replace Demolishers and drop a lot of Sweets
• Naughty Helpers replace Biters and drop small numbers or sweets
• Baka the Unfortunate returns to the Bazaar, playing festive music and offering new bounties
• Baka sells new items, such as new masks, Candy Cane Crowbar, presents and the Nutcracker outfit

There were 3 goals

• Global Goal: Kill 600000 Naughty Bolters to get the Bauble Mace
• Participation Goal: Kill at least 1 Naughty Bolter to get a pack of Presents
• Personal Goal: Kill 20 Naughty Bolters to unlock the Nutcracker Paraglider

Lastly, the Nutcracker Bundle was released along with this event, you could buy the pack or unlock the contents of the pack through the event

• Nutcracker Outfit, which can be purchased from Baka
• Nutcracker Saber, which can be purchased from Baka (though the dlc version is redeemable)
• Nutcracker Paraglider, which can be earned through the personal goal

Bloody Anniversary

Higher chance to dismember enemies, there are 4 goals that will earn you the Rais Bundle and more.

• Global Goal: Dismember 60000000 limbs to get the Volatile Mask
• Participation Goal: Dismember 1 limb to get the Bloody Anniversary Charm and 1 Harper´s Token
• Personal Warmup Goal: Dismember 250 limbs to get the Rais Machete
• Personal Goal: Dismember 800 limbs to get the Rais Outfit and Paraglider

Inmensely buffed dropkicks that can dismember enemies or send them flying, there are 4 goals that will earn you the Brecken Bundle and more.

• Personal Warm-up Goal: Dropkick 100 enemies to earn the Voltaic Wrench

Egg-splosive Hunt

New throwable "Egg-splosives" can now be found around Villedor, complete goals based around them to earn the Chicken Bundle and more.

• Global Goal: Kill 15000000 enemies with Egg-splosives to get the Chicken Claw.
• Participation Goal: Kill 1 enemy with an Egg-splosive to get a Hunter Token.
• Personal Warm-up Goal: Kill 123 enemies with Egg-splosives to get Eggs-eptional Charm.
• Personal Goal: Kill 400 enemies with Egg-splosives to get Rooster Outfit + Chicken Wing Paraglider Skin.
