Hellraid coins

Hellraid Coins are the primary currency and method of purchasing items outside of the Hellraid dungeon in the Hellraid DLC for Dying Light. They are solely obtained from going through the Hellraid dungeons and looting every single enemy and chest that can be found. It's somewhat plentiful but has a minimal use and role in the DLC.

Acquiring

  • Basic enemies such as Biters or Skeletons will often have a small amount of coins on them.
  • Looting a chest has a good chance of having a medium amount of coins in them.
  • Scrapping weapons found in the dungeon will give between 3-20 coins depending on the rarity and type of the weapon.

Usage

Hellraid coins are strangely not used anywhere within Hellraid, as there is no merchant in Hellraid. Because of this, players could easily be forgiven for ignoring Hellraid coins due to their apparent pointlessness. However, when exiting Hellraid to Harran, their use becomes abundantly clear. Next to the Hellraid arcade machine in The Tower is a large wooden box. From here, players can purchase Hellraid weapons that have been unlocked from Hellraid by reaching the required level. These weapons are all purchased using Hellraid coins and are unavailable for Cash. The weapons are all quite expensive from the box (thousands of Hellraid coins for even a half-decent weapon) so having a large horde of coins is essential if a weapon is desired, especially if wanted more than once. Other than this, coins are useless.

Notes

  • Oddly there is no way of spending Hellraid coins inside of Hellraid itself. They are acquired only in Hellraid but are only used outside of it.
