Show: Den for Brigitte

Brigitte: "It's all your fault."
Karsten: "But Mom...!"
Brigitte: "See what your mother has to endure at her ripe old age."
Karsten: "Stop being so melodramatic--"
Brigitte: "Are you not ashamed?"
Karsten: "Mom, listen to me."
Brigitte: "I'm going to die lonely and forgotten."
(Upon talking to Brigitte)
Karsten: "Mom, come home. I'm so worried about you."
Brigitte: "Is that stray you took in still there?"
Karsten: "Please don't talk like that about my future wife. Her name is Sylvia."
Brigitte: "You've known her for a week and you're calling her your "wife"? What do you even know about her?"
Karsten: "I love her."
Brigitte: "More than your own mother? I must have been a terrible mother. You see? This nice young man promised to get me a container where I can live out my days alone."
Karsten: "But Mom..."
Brigitte: "Quiet! Now. How did it go... my hero?"
Aiden: "You can move in."
Brigitte: "Here, is your well-earned payment. I could have left it to my son, but he deserves nothing!"
Karsten: "Please talk some sense to her, because I don't have the strength anymore."

Aiden: "(Mother comes first.) Mother comes first."
Karsten: "You don't know what you're talking about."
Brigitte: "But he's right! Who loves you more than anyone in the world? And who will always take care of you?"
Karsten: "Fine. I'll pack Sylvia's things and tell her to leave."
Brigitte: "Finally. Well, it's about time you came around. Thank you. I have no idea what I would do if it weren't for your help."
Aiden: "(Children have to go their own way someday.) Children have to go their own way someday."
Karsten: "Did you hear, mom? If you want to leave because of Sylvia, then... I won't be stopping you."
Brigitte: "And you had such a kind look in your eyes..."
Aiden: "Will she be all right?"
Karsten: "I'll look after her somehow. After all, she's my mother. Thanks for helping her."
Aiden: "Don't mention it. Good luck on your new path in life."
