Working together with Fear and his team who created BtZ Rebuild we've released another round of balance iterations in Be The Zombie, changes including:

  • Autobalance removed and re-adjusted to new values (Respawn timer for both Hunter and Player, Flashlight DPS, Dodge autobalance and timer, Resource regeneration)
  • Respawn autobalance removed

Player Respawn Times

  • 1v1 human respawn timer now set to 6 seconds Previously: 3-10s, Delay: 5
  • 2v1 human respawn timer now set to 12 seconds Previously: 10-18s, Delay: 15
  • 3v1 human respawn timer now set to 15 seconds Previously: 15-30s, Delay: 20
  • 4v1 human respawn timer now set to 17 seconds Previously: 15-30s, Delay: 20
  • 1v1 hunter respawn timer now set to 15 seconds Previously: 8-18s
  • 2v1 hunter respawn timer now set to 14 seconds Previously: 6-15s, Delay: 10
  • 3v1 hunter respawn timer now set to 12 seconds Previously: 6-15s, Delay: 10
  • 4v1 hunter respawn timer now set to 11 seconds Previously: 6-13s, Delay: 8

UV Flashlight Balancing:

  • 1v1 flashlight dps reduced (0.2-0.74) Previously: 0.4-0.75
  • 2v1 flashlight dps reduced (0.1-0.64) Previously: 0.05 - 0.85
  • 3v1 flashlight dps reduced (0.1 - 0.41) Previously: 0.05 - 0.75
  • 4v1 flashlight dps reduced (0.1 - 0.33) Previously: 0.05 - 0.7
  • Flashlight range reduced in 1v1 - 4v1 (0.75, 0.65, 0.57, 0.52) Previously: 0.8 (1v1), 0.7 (2v1), 0.65 (3v1), 0.6 (4v1)

Throwable Items Balancing:

  • Increased flare charges in 1v1 (0.94) Previously: 0.9
  • Flare cooldown decreased in 2v1 (12.0), 3v1 (19.0) and 4v1 (24.0) Previously: 15 (2v1), 20 (3v1), 25 (4v1)
  • Increased grenade charges in 1v1 ~ 4v1 (1.0) Previously: 0.0
  • Increased firecracker charges in 1v1 ~ 4v1 (0.94, 0.99, 1.0, 10.0) Previously: (0.0)
  • Cooldown added for firecrackers
  • Players can now throw two firecrackers before the item goes on cooldown.
  • Decreased charges for molotovs in 1v1 (0.94), 2v1 (0.99) Previously: 1.0
  • Decreased molotov cooldown to 30 seconds from 90 if the charge is not fully drained
  • Decreased molotov cooldown to 60 seconds from 90 if the charge is fully drained

Combat Balancing

  • Dropkick range reduced (3.1) Previously: 3.3
  • Dropkick damage reduced (30) Previously: 51
  • Dodging difficulty changed to 4.3 - 4.3 Previously: 0.3 - 8.0

Hive Nest Balancing

  • 1v1 nest distance changed from a radius to 170m in slums/old town
  • 2v1 nest distance changed from a radius to 230m in slums/old town
  • 3v1 nest distance changed from a radius to 290m in slums/old town
  • 4v1 nest distance changed from a radius to 330m in slums/old town
  • 1v1 nest distance changed from a radius to 325m in countryside
  • 2v1 nest distance changed from a radius to 400m in countryside
  • 3v1 nest distance changed from a radius to 500m in countryside
  • 4v1 nest distance changed from a radius to 600m in countryside
