Potion of Speed

Potions of Speed are a type of equipment exclusive to the Hellraid expansion for Dying Light. Potions of Speed were introduced in the third free update to Hellraid on 14th October 2021. They are used to increase Kyle Crane's movement speed for a short amount of time. Unlike weapons, potions and equipment can't be purchased outside of Hellraid.

Usage

Potions of Speed, when used, give an increase movement speed for Crane to move faster over obstacles as well as to escape from enemies. While some are not easily escaped, others like the skeletons can be avoided quite easily by popping a speed potion. One use of this is to quickly make an escape to go and heal or switch out weapons without being bombarded by attacks. Alternatively, it can be used to close the distance between some of the ranged enemies who will otherwise deal a lot of damage while you're dealing with skeletons and the like.

Notes

• Potions of Speed work identically to a Speed booster in the base game.
• You can't run while attempting to drink a Potion of Speed, only walking or standing still.
• The easiest way to find Potions of Speed is by looting the chests found across the dungeon.
• There's a small chance that enemies will have a Potion of Speed on them when killed, though this is very rare.
• It's impossible to craft a Potion of Speed.
