Snipers' Alley is a Side Quest in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.
Objectives
- Reach the sniper's position.
- I reached the building where the sniper was hiding. I tried to climb up to him, but he was faster and threw me off the ladder.
- Find a different way up.
- I was able to sneak up on the sniper from behind.
- Go after the sniper.
- The sniper turned out to be a young woman. She didn't want to kill me; only Hakon. Before I could find out why she was hunting him, she escaped on a paraglider.
Walkthrough
After meeting back up with Hakon after the attack on the Old Villedor Master Windmill, Hakon got shot by a sniper. The sniper is located on top of the Houndfield Electrical Station, and is a strong shot. Make use of cover while approaching the electrical station. Avoid the main entrance, as a Molotov will be thrown down and ignite the gas cannisters and light up the oil pools on the floor, instead approach from the crane next to the main entrance.
Run into the building and head up to the roof. Use the zipline to reach the main building where the sniper is located, then head over to the ladder on the side. Unfortunately, the ladder will be kicked down by the sniper, so another way up has to be found. The large chimney provides the answer, as some planks at the limit of the first ladder allow Aiden to climb back onto the roof of the electrical station. Follow the path on the side of the building until a door is reached.
A cutscene will play in which Aiden will sneak up on the sniper, though ultimately the sniper will get away using a paraglider. In doing so, concluding the quest.
