The Slabs
The Slabs are a location within the Slums district and is featured in Dying Light. The area is marked by several tall apartment buildings of identical style. It seems likely that they were public housing, owned by the city housing authority to provide a cheap place for lower-class families to live.
Several of the apartments were being renovated, with construction scaffolding erected along the sides. The scaffolding allows access to rooftops that would normally be difficult to reach. One of these will be converted by Crane into a safe zone once it has been cleared of infected. Another rooftop has been commandeered by Hanson's group, former members of the Tower who sought a safer location; they are featured in the Total Security side quest.
