The Ultimate Weapon
The Ultimate Weapon is a side quest in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.
Objectives
- Pay 200 Old World Money.
- 0/200 Old World Money
- Search the chest on the top of viaduct.
- Search the chest on the top of the office building.
- Return to the Monk.
Walkthrough
While at the 'Willow' Windmill in Horseshoe a Monk can be found, who can be heard asking philosophical questions. He will point out that Aiden looks like a man of power, and asks if Aiden wishes to posses the world's most dangerous weapon. He says that Aiden will see it with his own eyes, as he offers to tell its location in return for all of Aiden's money, after refusing to pay the Monk reduces the cost asking for 200 Old World Money, with a moneyback gaurantee. Two options will be given, agree to pay or refuse. If refused, one can return at a later date to speak to the Monk again, as it still starts the quest.
After agreeing to his price, the Monk will tell Aiden to look for chests hidden on the old overpass in east Horseshoe, and on the roof of an office building, stating the last one that is opened will contain the weapon.
The overpass site is located next to a Nightrunner's Hideout on the part of the overpass just south of Military Airdrop THB-22B. The roof of the "office building" mentioned is the roof of Jack & Joe's Camp, near Military Airdrop THB-17U. The chests in question are made of reed, but both chests will turn out to be empty, so return to the Monk for an explanation.
When confronted with the fact that the chests were empty, the Monk states Aiden gained the "most powerful weapon" after all: perserverance. Aiden will demand his money back, but the Monk states that perserverance will overcome the greatest difficulties, and asks Aiden if he is willing to sacrifice his perserverance just to get his money back. One can either choose to demand a refund or to allow the Monk to keep the money.
If chosen to demand for a refund, Aiden will point out that there was nothing there and demand the money back. The Monk will comply after a threat, returning the money, completing the quest.
If chosen to allow the Monk to keep the money, Aiden will say that he learned something from the experience, with the Monk bidding farewell the quest is completed.
