The V-23 Eraser is a Firearms mod available in the Astronaut Bundle DLC for Dying Light. The mod is for any type of Rifle but can't be found in the game world. Instead it is placed in the player's inventory upon installing the DLC and loading into the game. The mod turns the rifle's bullets into lasers and will set enemies alight with a fire effect.
Overview
The mod is essentially a complete overhaul mod of a standard rifle. It gets a futuristic white and electrical makeover with an electronic holographic sight as well as turning the bullets into lasers with a unique laser sound. The lasers it fires have a chance to set enemies on fire that they hit, giving more bang for your buck when firing. It does not, however, change either the damage or accuracy of the rifle, though it does greatly reduce the rate of fire. If you value being able to fire fully automatic, the rifle does still fire fully automatic, but for ammo consumption firing single shot is quite easy. The fire effect it can cause can be beneficial for completing bounties or setting pools of fuel on fire to roast zombies near to it.
