January 13th Map Leak

On January 13th, 2022, an image of a map of the world in Dying Light 2 Stay Human was posted on Reddit by user Frataclause. For the moment, this is the only publicly available image of a map of The City. The map seems to be an official map of the area, probably created prior to the outbreak, and which has been drawn on by a potential in-game character, with annotations that are perhaps directed at the player's character, Aiden.

It is assumed that this is a genuine and official map.

The map is relatively detailed and appears to show all the districts of Villedor, with one that is grayed-out and which may or may not be playable. According to the Villedor Metro System map, this district is called "Elyseum" and is served by Line 2, with four stops.

The "toxic waste" highlighted on the map likely serves as an 'invisible wall' that prevents players from leaving the confines of the map without an immediate or abrupt barrier. As there is no toxic waste between the main urban center and the grayed-out district, it could be the case that this is an impassible body of water, and that the aforementioned district is not playable and appears only in the distance, much like the parts of Harran behind the quarantine wall that were not affected by the outbreak.

It is interesting that the creator of the map has crossed out "Villedor", replacing it with "The City". It is unknown why this has been done, and if animosity toward the original name of the city is widespread or not.
