Loading Screens

Virals

Virals turned recently, so they still show some human reactions. Don't be mistaken - they're ferocious, fast and deadly. When they're close, don't stop moving!

Agility

Run, climb, kill enemies using the enviroment and use skills from the Agility skill tree to level up Agility.

Night Hunter Invasion

When night falls, your game can be invaded by a Night Hunter controlled by another player. Use your Survivor Sense to locate him on the minimap and the UV Flashlight to drain his energy!

Spikes

Kick, tackle, or throw your enemies at spikes to easily kill them.

Safe Zones

Safe Zones are marked on your map with a green icon. You can access your stash, bed, and a shop in each Safe Zone.

Player's Stash

Each unlocked Safe Zone contains a bag where you can stash your items.

Weapon's Damage

The Damage stat tells you how hard you will hit an enemy. Weapons with higher damage are more deadly.

Knocking Down Enemies

Knock down enemies by targeting their legs. Stay focused - toppled Infected can still grab you.

Repairing Weapons

Weapon durability depletes with use, so you need to use Metal Parts tp repair them. The number of possible repairs is limited and depends on the color of the weapon.

Human Enemies

Humans - Rais's men or hostile survivors - will block your strikes. Stay focused and time your attacks wisely.

Stamina

When your Stamina is low, your attacks are much slower. Back off and let it replenish.

Night Multiplier

All Skill Points gained during the night are doubled.

UV Flashlight

Use the UV Flashlight to temporarily stop Infected pursuing you at night - Volatiles, Night Walkers or Night Hunters.

Sleeping

Sleeping allows you to skip the current day phase.

Destroy Volatile Spawn

When you are invaded by the Night Hunter your objective is to destroy all of the zombie nests. You have a limited number of lives to do it.

Changing Weapons

To change your weapon press and hold [Tab]. Tap [Tab] to quickly cycle through them.

Blueprints

Blueprints are used to create certain items or add elemental effects to weapons. You can obtain them on missions, in the shops or during exploration. Go to the Blueprints tab to use them.

Plants And Boosters

Boosters give you special Buffs. Create them using plants that you can find in areas marked on your map.

Craft Parts

Items required for crafting can be found in Trash Bins, Closets, Chests, Tool Boxes, Car Trunks and other similar locations.

Weapon's Durability

The Durability stat tells you how many times you can hit with a weapon before it breaks. Weapons with higher durability last longer.

Flares

Flares work as portable Safe Zones - use them when you're chased by Volatiles or Night Walkers.

Improvised Weapons

Planks, pipes, rebars, etc. - these are not very reliable. Go to Shops or look for locked weapon chests to find better weapons.

Falling From Heights

Trash piles, awnings, cars, etc. will lessen the impact of your fall. Look for them when you want to get to the ground safely.

Two-Handed Weapons

Two-handed weapons arae slow and drain more stamina, but they deal double damage, have higher durability, and are required for some special attacks.

Getting Down

To get down to the ground level quickly and safely, jump on to trash bins, car rooftops, or wandering Biters.

Toads

The Harran Virus mutated differently in Toads. They're hideous in appearance and spit toxic venom at you. When you see one, get close to it and finish it quickly!

Weapon Chests

Search the environment for huge, locked chests left by other Survivors. They're usually placed on rooftops, beyond the reach of zombies, and contain weapons or other valuable things.

Volatiles

Volatiles are deadly night predators that scavenge the streets looking for prey. Use your Survivor Sense and the mini-map to avoid being spotted!

Respawn Locations

When you die, you go back to the nearest unlocked Safe Zone. Unlock Safe Zones to save you a trip across the map.

Changing Gadgets

To change the gadget in your left hand press and hold [1]. Tap [1] to quickly cycle through them.

Co-op

While playing with other people you'll be able to participate in friendly competitive co-op Challenges.

Power

Fight enemies directly and use skills from the Power skill tree to level up Power.

Throwing Weapons

Sometimes it's better to attack enemies from a distance. If you don't have any Firearms, use Throwing Weapons.

Hints

To read all of the Hints go to the Game Menu and choose the Hints option.

Bombers

Degradation of the tissue bloats some of the infected with gas. They're called Bombers, and they explode when you get close. Try to damage them from a distance.

Modifying Weapons

You can improve your weapon using Upgrades or Blueprints. Weapon upgrades increase weapon stats, while Blueprints add elemental effects.

Shops

Shops are the best place to get new, better weapons. As your Survivor Rank increases, Shops will offer more powerful weapons.

Item Rarity

White items are Common, Green are Uncommon, Blue are Rare, Violet are Exceptional, Orange are Legendary. Colored weapons are more powerful, have more upgrade slots and a greater number of repairs.

Looking Behind

Press [B] to look behind you while sprinting.

Character Progression

By performing various actions in game, you increase your Agility, Power, and Survivor Rank.

Weapon Upgrades

Weapon upgrades can be used to increase attributes of weapons - Damage, Durability, or Handling. You can obtain them by helping other Survivors in Encounters. Select a weapon in the Inventory and press [F6] to upgrade it.

Special Kills

Quickly gain additional Agility Points by killing enemies with traps, spikes, exploding gas tanks.

Pursuit Reward

Earn additional Agility Points for escaping a pursuit during the night. The longer and more intense the pursuit, the more Points you get.

Noise

If you make a loud noise - e.g. shoot a gun, land on a roof and break it or explode a gas tank - the Virals will come to that spot very quickly.

Regaining Survivor Points

Quickly regain Survivor Points by helping other Survivors or by bringing DROPs to the Quartermaster.

Survivor Sense

Your Survivor Sense allows you to examine your surroundings and locate Infected hunting for you at night. Press [Q] to use it.

Side Missions

Help other Survivors trapped in the Quarantine. It's a great way to increase your Survivor Rank, get rare Blueprints, and learn more about the Harran Outbreak.

Encounters

Helping other Survivors will increase your Survivor Rank and get you valuable rewards, such as Weapon Upgrades.

Medkits

Medkits are the most reliable way to heal yourself. Look for Craft Parts to create them whenever possible.

Puddles Of Water

Lure your enemies over puddles of water and turn the electricity on the nearest street lamp to electrocute them.

Weather Effects

Weather conditions impact the game world - e.g. electrical weapons work better against enemies soaked by rain. Try to discover other such combinations.

Puddles Of Oil

Throw firecrackers or flares at puddles of oil to set them on fire. They make great environmental traps.

Bolter Tissue

Bolter Tissue is a valuable resource. Use it with blueprints or sell it for profit.

Weapon's Handling

The Handling stat tells you how easy it is to use the weapon. Weapons with higher handling strike faster and use less of your stamina.

Safe Zones Trading

People you meet in Safe Zones will often trade with you. Sometimes they offer rare items and powerful weapons.

Enemy Progress

The Harran Virus mutates all the time, so the Infected get more resilient, more dangerous, and smarter. You constantly need to look for better weapons in Shops located in Hubs and Safe ZOnes, or in Weapon Chests.

Valuables

The value of everyday items like Cosmetics, Coffee, Cigarettes and Jewelry has risen during the outbreak. Sell them for profit.

Bolters

If you see an Infected covered in green blisters, that's a Bolter. They're a mystery; no one knows where they come from. They're very hard to catch - don't startle them!

Consumables

When you're low on health and out of Medkits, look for Consumables - food packages that replenish your energy. They're everywhere, especially in fridges.

Firearms

Firearms are powerful, but they make lots of noise, which attracts Virals and Volatiles.

Lockpicking

Chests, lockers and other containers that require Lockpicks to open usually hold better loot.

Parkour Routes

Use parkour routes prepared by other Survivors. They allow you to traverse the environment quickly.

Biters

Biters are the most common type of the Infected. They're slow and apathetic, but if you get close, they can grab you. Beware - after dark, they transform into Night Walkers!

Vertical Movement

When you fall on biters, virals or humans, they will break your fall. Attacks from above deal more damage and give you a small Agility boost.

Demolishers

The Harran Virus turned some humans into terrible Demolishers. They're so strong that they can throw heavy objects (such as cars) at you. Use Dodge frequently!

Dismantling Weapons

You can dismantle your weapons in the Inventory tab of the Player Menu to salvage some crafting materials, e.g. Metal Parts.

Surviving The Night

Earn additional Survivor Points for surviving the night outside of the Safe Zones. You can increase that bonus by killing, climbing, and staying undetected at night without dying.
