The V-40 Suspender is a Firearm available in the Astronaut Bundle DLC for Dying Light. The mod is a type of pistol but can't be found in the game world. Instead it is placed in the player's inventory upon installing the DLC and loading into the game. The pistol is a futuristic sidearm than applies a status effect to enemies on the last bullet in the magazine.
Overview
A very futuristic firearm and one of the few available. Like the V-23 Eraser, the pistol has lights and clean white paintjob, and has 5 bullets in the magazine but no scope, unlike the rifle counterpart. However, while the pistol does not apply elemental damage to its rounds, the final shot fired from the magazine will apply a freezing status effect on the enemy it hits, like the Stasis field projector but less violent, as it does not slam them into the ground afterwards. This is handy for either reloading, changing weapons or making a getaway while the enemy is frozen. Even more importantly, this effect works on ANY infected, including Virals and Volatiles. As such, this pistol is very handy for anyone planning on exploring Harran at night.
