The GRE Security Division (also referred to as GSD or the Global Active Federals) are a division of the Global Relief Effort. They were first introduced in Dying Light 2 Stay Human's extension DLC; Bloody Deception.
Overview
The GRE Security Division is an executive department of the GRE, that begun operations from the early 2005s. They department was nominated official by the GRE and was also mentioned by Katsumi Kobayashi on the Council of Mankind, said to be a more efficient means of "Protection, Defense, Security and Law Enforcement". Not much else is clear on their origins, but they were assigned many tasks during The Fall, which were; setting up checkpoints, outposts, refugee camps, quarantine zones and guarding the most important personnel on the GRE. After the fall, the department was re-purposed for a security detail for the GRE Department of Energy, situated at GRE National Laboratory, under the jurisdiction of Callus Sullivan. The department is led by Marcus Ryan and Demitery Maximoff.

History
Events of Dying Light 2 Stay Human
In the majority of the main game, there isn't much seen of the GSD present, but there are remnants or their outposts, vehicles and more.
They are then fully revealed in Bloody Deception, which are now used as a security detail for the GRE's Department of Energy, under the orders of Callus Sullivan. They operate at the GRE National Laboratory, which can shown after Aiden is given a tour of the new land by Harmon Reese, an enforcer from a nearby by Survivor encampments. The extent of their aggressiveness is shown when they take out a group of Virals almost instantly. He then mentions once, a trio of survivors attempted to break in to the laboratory, but we're killed on site.
