The Breadwinner is a night time Side Quest in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.
Objectives
- Search the shop for the backpacks containing food that Kevin left behind.
- I searched the store Kevin told me about. Inside I retrieved backpacks filled with food.
- Bring the food to Kevin.
- I was shocked to discover that the boy's parents had turned into infected some time ago. Since then, he's kept them in cages and feeds them.
Walkthrough
On a roof in eastern Houndfield a kid named Kevin can be found. He is hesitant to talk at first, but quite quickly budges and says he is gathering food for his parents. He eventually agrees to allow Aiden to help, and asks him to retrieve his backpacks with food in return for a weapon.
Go to the Forsaken Store in the western part of Houndfield and look for the three backpacks that Kevin left behind. The first is located right in front of the counter opposite the entrance. The second is located on the back side of a shelf, just beyond the end of the counter. The third is located in the backroom of the store, near the hard-locked cabinet.
After retrieving the backpacks, head to Kevin's home, which is located a short distance south of the forsaken store. Once inside, it becomes clear that Kevin's parents have turned into virals. Kevin is in denial, but upon giving the food he is still willing to pay for the delivered food.
