Objectives

Objective icon.png
Get to the Dynamo Car Factory.
I agreed to meet Aitor at the car factory. When I got there, the entrance to the factory tunnel was locked. I had to look for another way in.

Objective icon.png
Get inside the tunnel.
The tunnel was stuffy and dark. If I wanted to go any further, I had to find a generator.

Objective icon.png
Find the generator.
Objective icon.png
Get rid of the threat.
Objective icon.png
Turn on the generator.
The generator only worked for a moment. I had scarcely had time to let the Peacekeepers in when the gate closed and the tunnel plunged into darkness. I had to quickly find the switchboard and restore the light.

Objective icon.png
Find the utility room and restore the power.
I reconnected an electrical cable that someone had apparently unplugged, and restored the power.

Objective icon.png
Follow the traces.
I was tracking Waltz, until I heard Aitor's voice. The Peacekeepers had found someone.

Objective icon.png
Get back to Aitor.
Getting back to Aitor the way I came proved impossible. I had to find another route. When I finally made it, Waltz and his Renegades attacked, killing the PKs. As I was fighting the Renegades, I had another "attack" and lost consciousness.

Objective icon.png
Follow Waltz into the car factory.
I could barely stand, but wouldn't give up. I chased Waltz and made it into the factory.

Objective icon.png
Pursue Waltz in the car factory.
I had underestimated Waltz: he was incredibly strong. A mysterious crossbow-wielding woman saved me at the last second. Without much time to think, I grabbed the GRE key and started running.

Objective icon.png
Escape from Waltz.
My savior was a young woman who had the same scars as mine. For a moment, I thought I found Mia, but she was someone else entirely.

Objective icon.png
Follow the Sniper.
The woman who saved me from Waltz turned out to be the sniper who had shot Hakon. Her name was Lawan, the person Dylan had said to find at the Fish Eye.

Walkthrough

Regardless of whether Hakon was helped after being shot in the previous quest or not, Aiden must proceed to the Dynamo Car Factory, so head on over to the highway tunnel in southeastern Quarry End. The push button which is supposed to open up the gates leading into the tunnel is out of power, so Aiden contacts Aitor. Use parkour on the rocky formation next to the gate to find a way to bypass the gate and get past it.

Once inside the tunnel, Aiden contacts Aitor again, who recommends turning on the generators in the tunnel. When attempting to activate the generator a new infected type - a Rampage. After dispatching it, turn on the generator again and the doors will open. Aitor and three Peacekeepers, Wubbe, Hepper and Brooks will enter the tunnel. Depending on the choices made in previous quest, Aitor's disposition toward Aiden will either be positive or negative. While speaking to Aiden, another Peacekeeper reports over the radio that the Main Terminal Station is under attack by the Survivors from the Bazaar. Before being given a chance to act, the power cuts short and the gate closes again. Aitor sends Aiden off to find the source of the power going off, while he and his men stay behind.

Head to a door further down into the tunnel, some electrical boxes are on the wall next to it, and go through it. Crawl through the shaft and go up, while doing so, Aitor and his Peacekeepers can be heard in conversation over the radio. When reaching the other side, the generator is found. Turn it on and Aiden will conclude that someone purposefully took it out prior. After puting the cable back in, return to Aitor. The door leading to Aitor is locked, but a nearby ventilation shaft can be used to bypass it. While going through the shaft, Aitor can be heard spotting Waltz and arresting him.

When reunited with Aitor, Waltz is being confronted for the murder of commander Lucas. When spotting Aiden, Waltz asks Aiden for the GRE access key, but upon Aiden's refusal, and Hepper punching Waltz, he breaks free from his binds and takes out the Peacekeepers before dealing with Aiden himself.

When Aiden wakes up again, a group of Renegades have surrounded him, and will attack upon seeing him wake up. During the fight, Aiden loses control, with the virus taking over and granting him increased strength, being able to take down the Renegades with single punches. After defeating them, the screen goes black and Aiden faints.

When waking up again, Aiden is near the end of the tunnel, on the other side. Continue down the highway and head for the Car Factory to find Waltz. At the car factory, numerous Renegades will have to be fought in order to proceed safely. Upon dispatching them, climb up the car mounted on the wall and use the hanging lights in order to get to the platform in the northwestern part of the factory, then climb up and proceed further by dispatching the Renegades. Be sure to pick up "The Tunnel Assignment" collectable memento along the way.

Upon opening a door, Aiden will find Waltz again, who will recognize that Aiden was one of his test subjects. Just before Waltz kills Aiden, he lets him go upon hearing Aiden mention Mia. Before the two can hold a normal conversation, however, Waltz is struck by two crossbow bolts, enraging him. The sniper who struck Hakon has come to the car factory and asks Aiden to follow suit. Aiden agrees, reclaiming the GRE Access Key.

A chase sequence starts, with Waltz running after Aiden. Follow the sniper along the metro rails and keep a safe distance from Waltz. Upon climbing a ladder at the end of the chase, the sniper will shoot Waltz as he jumps, making him fall down and getting the two to safety. A short conversation ensues in which it becomes clear that the sniper was also a victim of Waltz's experiments. Upon Aiden asking if she knows Mia she will respond by saying that she does not know her but that if she lives she probably whores herself for water in the city. The conversation stops when she recommends moving, being uncertain if the two truly escaped Waltz.

Follow a short route leading to a door. Upon opening it, Aiden will have a flashback, being pulled back by the sniper who points out that Aiden was totally out of it. A short conversation will ensue, in which she will explain that she has a hit list for some characters, including Waltz, the Butcher, and Hakon. She will also ask how Aiden knew Hakon. Aiden will then recommend going, but just as Lawan leaves, Aiden suffers from a seizure.

Aiden wakes up again sometime later, so follow the metro tunnels until the sniper is met again. Again a short conversation will take place, but the two will end up walking to a closed door, which she claims used to always be open. With the GRE Access Key, Aiden opens the door so the two can proceed. When confronted with the key, Aiden explains how he obtained it and how he has to find Lawan. The sniper then reveals her identity: she is Lawan. While walking further, talking along the way, the metro rails suddenly regain power, a result of Waltz turning it back on. Lawan recommends hurrying before it goes offline again.
