"I found a radio from which I could hear desperate pleas for help."
Quest description

The Living Dead is a Side Quest in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.

Objectives

Objective icon.png
Climb closer to the antenna to improve reception.
I managed to receive a clear radio signal. I heard a man calling for help from a transformer room below, saying that the Infected were after him.

Help the man trapped in the electrical substation.
I found the man who'd been broadcasting... his body, that is. His SOS was a looped recording that started to play once the electricity had been restored, but he had died years ago.

Walkthrough

While on the rooftops in the central area of The Wharf, a radio can be heard calling for help in a distorted message. Upon picking it up and trying to respond no answers are given. Aiden asks Lawan for help, and she recommends the nearby North Loop Radio Tower to boost the signal. Climb up to the tower until the connection becomes clearer and the message can be better identified. There is still no response, but at least a location is given: the Downtown Electrical Station.

Head over to Downtown and its electrical station and head to the lowest level. The door which needs to be accessed is locked from the inside, so another way will need to be found. A ventilation shaft can be spotted in the eastern corner of the room behind the locked door. Walk south past the computer monitors and stop at the end of the servers. Here the ventilation shaft starts. Head in and crawl through it to the other side.

At the other side, it becomes clear that the distress call was made a long time ago, as a corpse is found at the radio equipment. Upon this conclusion, the quest is completed.
