Be the Zombie
Be the Zombie is a free PvP expansion released on 27 January 2015. It's available for all players to experience asymmetric game mode that allows to get a taste of the Night Hunter's invasion. Before the Dying Light's release it was advertised as a pre-order exclusive, but Techland changed their mind just a few days before the launch day[1].
Cuisine & Cargo
Cuisine & Cargo is the first and smallest paid expansion released on 10 February 2015. Being the first addition to Season Pass 2015, Cuisine & Cargo adds to the game two new quarantine zones: Holy Year Tunnel and Three Moons Restaurant.
The Bozak Horde
The Bozak Horde is the second paid expansion released on 26 May 2015. Being the third addition to Season Pass 2015 (the second one is a set of pre-order blueprints and skins called Ultimate Survivor Bundle), The Bozak Horde adds a brand-new game mode playable in single-player and co-op.
In this game mode, players are invited to go to the Harran Stadium location and test their strength in a series of challenges. According to this side story, you fight for your life increasingly stronger and larger enemy waves as you oppose a mysterious psychopath called Bozak.
The Following
Dying Light: The Following is the third and biggest paid expansion released on 9 February 2016. Being the fourth and last addition to Season Pass 2015, The Following introduces a whole new map with a new story, new weapons such as compound crossbows, new blueprints with some having freezing abilities, and new gameplay features including a customizable buggy.
Alongside with the launch of The Following, the game received the Enhanced Edition update.
Hellraid
Hellraid is the fourth and last paid expansion released on 13 August 2020. Hellraid adds a brand-new game mode playable in single-player and co-op. This DLC takes place in an another realm accessible via mysterious arcade machine in the Tower.
In this game mode, you fight hordes of skeletons and another servants of Hell in a medieval-themed stronghold with dimly lit chambers. You can pick up bounties for additional prizes as you revisit the fortress. You can also improve your Hellraid rank to access new weapons you can also wield outside of the infernal realm to the streets of Harran.
Hellraid originally only had a Raid mode, but later this DLC received a few updates with one of which introducing a Story mode:
- The first free update, titled "Lord Hector's Demise" and released on 30 September 2020, introduced 2 new Hellraid level ranks, 3 new weapons, 3 new collectible notes, unique Hellraid bounties, improvements and fixes[2];
- The second free update, titled "The Prisoner" and released on 7 June 2021, introduced a Story mode with three quests, "Clavis Stones", "Imprisoned" and "Beneath the Seals", a hub world to choose between Story and Raid mods, a new Hellraid level rank, new weapons, bug fixes and quality of life improvements[3];
- The third free update, released on 14 October 2021, introduced new areas to explore, fire wands, more potions, and an armory available after Lucius is freed in the "Imprisoned" quest[4];
- The fourth free update, released on 10 December 2021, introduced new locations to explore, dark wands, a boss fight against Sir Asmorod, and the last part of the story, "Disrupt the Ritual" and "Sacrificed" quests[5];
- The final free update, released on 5 May 2022, introduced a reworked arsenal, new unlockable Hellraid weapon blueprints, Deathbringer shotgun and blueprint to craft it, balance tweaks, economy changes, and bug fixes[6][7].
Dying Light: Hellraid was based on Techland's currently-on-hold first-person fantasy slasher game of the same name.

Limited-time offers
- Though Ultimate Survivor Bundle brought a number of pre-order weapon blueprints and outfits (Buzz Killer Weapon Pack, Night Club Weapon Pack, The Lacerator Weapon Pack, The Constable Weapon Pack, Ninja Outfit, Urban Explorer Outfit, Special Agent Outfit) to the newer audience of Dying Light, it didn't bring back Wrench Kiss Weapon Pack and Punk Queen Weapon Pack.
- But, at least on Steam, it is possible to get these two weapon packs (Wrench Kiss[23] and Punk Queen[24]) by purchasing Dying Light Enhanced Edition or Dying Light Definitive Edition (it was also included in pre-purchase versions of both standard and ultimate editions of the game, and in the Platinum Edition). But beware that the 2022 free upgrade to Enhanced Edition for Steam owners of the standard edition don't include Wrench Kiss and Punk Queen weapon packs! Dying Light Ultimate Edition (discontinued since 2016 when Enhanced Edition did launch) owners didn't get these two weapon packs either[25].
- There are a number of pre-order or partner programs exclusive DLC outfits that are not currently legally obtainable. All these outfits are purely aesthetic and do not provide any in-game advantage.
- The Troublemaker Outfit is a DLC outfit only available to players who pre-ordered the Xbox One version of Dying Light.
- The Master Scavenger Outfit is a DLC outfit only available to players who pre-ordered the PS4 version of Dying Light.
- The Alienware, Nvidia, and Razer suits are downloadable content outfits available for Dying Light players who have signed up for the limited-time affiliate programs with their respective brands.
- Dying Light: Bad Blood, a standalone PvP expansion released on 13 September 2018 via Steam Early Access, introduces a so-called brutal royal game mode. In 2020—2021, Techland gave away Steam activation codes for Bad Blood to owners of the original Dying Light through their website dockets.dyinglightgame.com, TechlandGG's predecessor, but it never caught on.
