"We need to make sure the signal's strong enough to get past the jamming. Installing the amplifier on the tallest antenna tower in Harran should do the trick, hopefully. Savvy says the safest way there is through the sewers."
Quest introduction

Broadcast is the thirteenth story quest available in Dying Light.[1]

Description

After the Ministry of Defense convinced the world that there are no survivors in the city of Harran, they send jets to bomb the city to annihilate the virus. So Savvy sends Crane and gives him an amplifier to overcome the jam. Crane then goes to the antenna area, and has to turn on the power, but he has to find a keycard first to access the power station. After finding the keycard and turning the power on and killing numbers of infected, Crane then has to get on the top of the antenna tower to install the amplifier via an elevator. However, it gets snapped and falls down, so Crane has to climb up. After climbing and installing the amplifier, Crane sends a message to the world, and prevents the jets from bombing the city. The GRE then contacts him, asking him to bring back Dr. Zere's research and extract him. Crane then ziplines down and exits the antenna area.

I got a message out to the world - and just in time. The Ministry's bombers peeled off and left. But then the GRE contacted me. They want me to get Zere's research together and give it to them, so they can convince the world they've been working on a cure, instead of a way to profit off people's misery. Fuck that. I've got other plans

Screw the GRE. You fool me twice, it's shame on me. I'm gonna give Dr. Zere's research to Dr. Camden.

Walktrhough

Having spoken to Troy in the conclusion of the previous quest, Crane is tasked with bringing an amplifier to an antenna so that he can broadcast a message to the entire world. To get there, Crane has to enter the sewers and then later follow the directions of Savvy. To access the sewers, go down the staircase located in front of the main gate to Old Town and enter a gate on the left. Go down the steps and head right, keep following the path until a navy gray door is reached and go through it to enter the sewers.

While progressing through the sewers, a small deserted base is found. Crane may hear a screamer in one of its rooms, which also contains some shotgun ammo and a Double-Barrel Shotgun. Several virals will have to be dealt with if the room is entered, and after causing enough mayhem, a demolisher will destroy one of the barricades, enabling Crane to progress. Distract or kill the virals and turn a wheel to open a gate and enter through it. Jump through a grate in the floor and proceed to the next room, a toxic area with four toads. Head to the back of the room and go up through another grate. Use the platforms and pipelines to end up at the room on the southwestern side of the wall.

"One day I'm gonna do this and end up on a bag of rusty knives, I just know it.
Kyle Crane upon jumping down from the dam"

Head up the stairs and follow the path, be careful as the place is home to eight virals in a difficult to maneuver area. Upon reaching the other side, head up the stairs again and use the doors to find yourself outside on a damn. Jump down into the garbage pile and contact Savvy. In conversation, Savvy will make clear that a keycard is required to proceed, which should be located in one of the container units nearby. Be mindful of the virals, bombers, goons, toads and regular infected both on the way over there and at the sites themself. The second container site also has two demolishers walking around.

Look in the container below the toad at the second site to find the previous survivor and the required Access Card. Crane contacts Savvy again afterwards; head for the antenna and enter its substation to proceed. Keep in mind that this area also has two bombers, several biters, two toads, a goon and a demolisher roaming around it. Use the Access Card to enter the substation and return power to the antenna. Upon doing so, get back to the antenna and open the "high voltage" box at the base of it. After doing so, climb up to the top. As one of the cables snap and causes an explosion, a number of virals show up, deal with them before attempting the climb again. Keep in mind that at a certain platform on the antenna, three biters are found.

Upon reaching the top platform, move around the mast to install the amplifier and send out a message. Just in time, as fighter jets were just about to move in:

Crane: "Anyone who can hear me, please listen! My name is Kyle Crane, and I'm sending this message from inside the Harran quarantine! Colonel Taner and the Ministry of Defense have lied to you! There are still survivors inside the walls! They plan to firebomb Harran, but if those bombs drop, you will know Taner and the Ministry are cold-blooded murderers!"
Radio Voice: "Holy shit... there's someone alive in the quarantine zone... Hey, do you copy? ...copy? It's... I knew it... I knew it!"

Crane gets contacted by the GRE shortly afterwards, who want Imran Zere's research for themselves. Crane contacts Savvy shortly afterwards, completing the quest.
