| "Restore water flow" Quest introduction

"Fountain" is a side quest available in Dying Light.[1] It is a part of #DrinkForDLC DLC pack added to the game in the Enhancements update (1.10).
Objectives
- Turn on water near Canal Waterfalls
- Turn on water near Town Hall
- Turn on valve near Hotel
- Turn on main valve
- Try water from the fountain
Walkthrough
On the roof of the Harran University in Old Town a man named Mort Norris can be found. Speak to him to begin the quest. Norris wants the water system to be active again, so he tasks Crane with turning some valves. On near the Town Hall, one near the Canal Waterfalls, and one near a Hotel.
The one near the Town Hall is accessed by opening a door due east of the Town Hall itself, near a car trap and a garbage pile. Head down the stairs and jump into the water. Swim underneath the water and head to the flare and open the underwater door, which is locked with an easy lock. Once on the other side, jump out of the water and find the blue pipe with the white valve — destroy the wooden planks in front of it and turn it over. Be careful as there are a handful of infected shambling around there. Upon heading back three virals will burst through a door, deal with them.
The valve near the canal can be accessed from the canal itself. Open a door and head downstairs. Once down, it becomes clear that the water inside is electrified, so Crane has to use parkour to find a safe way around. It is advisable to use a Grappling Hook to more easily, and safely, get through this section. From one of the wooden platforms, jump to a hole in the wall and turn right, taking care of any infected along the way. Near the end of the path, to the left, a flare is found in front of an electricity circuit. Open the circuit and use it to safely get down into the water in the main room and access the valve. Turn it on and head back outside.
The Hotel valve can be found in the western part of Old Town. Enter the door next to a fence trap and head downstairs. The valve itself is easy to access, but there are three Toads which will hinder Crane from using it. Swim underneath a part of the wall to get to the other side and dispatch them before heading back.
After turning on all three valves, Crane contacts Mort to give him a status report. Mort will state how now all that has to be done is turn on the main valve in the main pumping station, so head there. It is located just to north of a canal. Head down the stairs and jump in the water to swim all the way down to a flare. From there, follow the path headed east and swim up. Once on the other side, jump to the dry area to find it occupied by Rais' Gang. Three of his troops are there, two carrying Military Rifles, and one carrying a Police Rifle. After advancing further to the pump itself, two more of Rais's Men are found, again carrying rifles. After dispatching them, turn the valve and contact Mort.
Exit the main pumping station and head to the fountain to try its water. Be careful as the place is swarming with infected. After doing so, the quest is completed.
Rewards
- 5 000 survivor points.
- Water 2.0 blueprint.
- Access to healing fountains in Old Town, marked on the map, which restore 10 points of health upon being used.
