Bill is a character featured in Dying Light.
Biography
Events of Dying Light
He is a surivivor found within the Old Town district of Harran. He is found during a random encounter in which he is found inside the Harran University safe zone.
When approached by Kyle Crane, he expresses his intention to open a restaurant in Harran once the epidemic is over. He wishes to call it Juan Harran's with the signature dish being the Zomburrito.
After this encounter, he disappears and his whereabouts and status are unknown.
Conversations
Bill: "It could work. I KNOW it could work."
Crane: "What could work?"
Bill: "My restaurant! I'm going to call it "Juan Harran's!" I think. Or, hey, maybe "Queso Quarantine!" That's good too. I'm gonna write that shit down."
Crane: "You're... thinking about opening a restaurant... in Harran?"
Bill: "Not just any restaurant! A ZOMBIE-THEMED restaurant! Picture the billboards: "Eat at Juan Harran's! Home of the ZOMBURRITO!""
Crane: "Wow. That's... one of the worst ideas I've ever heard."
Bill: "Nah, now, come on! Just imagine! This is the niche market to end all niche markets! You know who's opened a restaurant in the middle of a zombie outbreak in the past? NOBODY! I'll be the first! Besides, all these plans are for after the quarantine's lifted."
Crane: "Oh, so... once the zombies are gone and the walls are done and people aren't dying anymore... ... you want to ask them to come eat at a place that reminds them of the trauma they've just been through?"
Bill: "Well... maybe my customer base won't be ACTUAL survivors... but think of the tourist trade! You KNOW people from all over the world are going to want to come and check out the site of the outbreak! And Juan Harran's will be right there, selling them food! I could turn a profit selling to American tourists alone!"
Crane: "God... "bad taste" doesn't even begin to cover this..."
Bill: "Hey, number one: nobody ever went broke underestimating the American public. Number two: there's a successful restaurant in Japan where they serve you food in little miniature TOILETS. If that works this works."
Crane: "Ugh. You're probably right."
