Prison Guards are a faction of hostile survivors in Dying Light.

Overview

The Prison Guards are the security guards of Harran Prison, they are stationed at the entrance, office and the cell room.

During the Prison Heist quest, the Prison Guard serve as the first enemy group that Kyle Crane would encounter.

Appearance

The Prison Guards usually wear balaclavas as well as body armor and tactical vests. They are always armed with Military Rifles.

Combat Strategies

• The Prison Guards are all firearm users. Use the stair or the crates at the entrance as a cover and land a few headshot from a distance to kill the guards efficiently. For the guards Inside the building, one can use the walls and corners to take cover. Occasionally, the guards might be standing near fire extinguishers. One can shoot the fire extinguishers to take down multiple guards near the extinguishers instantly.
• Survivor Sense can locate the guards.

Notes

• It is not necessary to fight the guards in order to proceed further in the quest. One can use the Grappling Hook to skip the fight if one wants to save the time for better loots at the prison armory.
• On the other hand, the guards are a good source for farming Military Rifle and Rifle Ammo. The rifle in particular can be sold for $868 per each copy and each run grants approximately 10-12 rifle depending on how quick the rifles are picked up, since the rifles and ammo may despawn should the guards' corpses disappear.
• The Military Rifle dropped by the guards will always have blue rarity.
